A dance version of Nu Jazz and Lounge

Soulful house was born in Chicago in the second half of the 1980s as a sub-genre of house music. Compared to Chicago House, soulful house is slower (122 – 127 BPM) and melodic. Is is influenced by soul, jazz and funk, and it often includes solos. It is considered as the dance version of genres like nu jazz and lounge.
